2019 "En Fleur" Late Harvest Semillon Dessert Wine
2019 "En Fleur" Late Harvest Semillon Dessert Wine
2019 “En Fleur” Late Harvest Semillon – due to popular demand, we finally made a follow-up to our super-popular dessert-style Ice Wine. The 2019 vintage was harvested December 2, 2019, a cold and icy morning, but technically not cold enough to consider this an Ice Wine – hence the “Late Harvest” designation. It is very sweet but balanced in the finish, and very low in alcohol. The aroma evokes melons and citrus, white flowers and honeysuckle. The palate is broad and deep with yellow pears and apples, peaches, dried tropical fruits, cantaloupe, and a gentle honeyed glaze to all of it that never overshadows the fruit. Serve it with fresh berries, peaches, fresh figs or pears with Stilton cheese.
